Submission Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in submitting an article to Discourse Afghanistan.

The Discourse Afghanistan initiative is a research and publishing enterprise where authors and researchers from various academic disciplines are invited to publish or republish their work on Afghanistan. The project also aims to provide a publishing platform for authors who want to propagate their research findings and articles.

We would be grateful if you could follow the guidelines below, where applicable, when submitting an article to Discourse Afghanistan:

1- Your work should be structured to include a title, introduction, body and a conclusion, with a clear thesis or research question stated in the introduction. If you are submitting an academic paper please also include a cover page that includes an abstract, as well as your name, affiliation, date when article was written, and date of previous publication (if applicable). Articles submitted should be between 2 and 15 pages.

2- Your work needs to be original. We check for plagiarised material. Where applicable be sure to include a bibliography in Vancouver or Harvard referencing format, and cite your sources within the text of your work.

3- Please ensure you spell-check the document and check for grammatical errors before submitting.

If you are submitting an article that has already been published elsewhere, please check with the publisher that there are no restrictions on re-publishing your work. Please note that APn will acknowledge the publication where the article has already been published in a footnote.

4- If you are submitting an academic paper and need help please refer to our Guidelines on How to Write an Academic Article. If you still had unanswered questions please feel free to contact us. We will be happy to help.

Once we have received your article, it will be reviewed by the

Discourse Afghanistan team and if necessary sent to independent reviewers. We will get back to you within 2 weeks with our feedback and edits, or any follow-up questions we may have. This internal editing process is necessary to make sure we achieve some level of consistency in the work we publish, so please do not be alarmed if some revision may be required. It is not necessarily a reflection on the quality of your work.
